– The Distance of Attractions –
Through these more distant interactions,
the landscape of my attraction changes;
With time apart I have become less loving,
while needing more love from you in return,
seeking more from you in separation
than what I ever did in our life together.
I use these days apart to edit our history;
I keep you outside of my conscious mind
for long enough that you become a memory,
for long enough that you become
a distant vision left behind me.
