The Mythical Earth – Edens’ Bloom

– Edens’ Bloom –

It was a winter cold gaze which she cast as she crossed the room to meet him, with her troubled heart like a sense of falling through the rubble of a crumbling world. Her aura was awash with mottled hues of blue and grey, with darker shades of black emotion pulling her even farther down into her sorrow, taking her thoughts far away from the warmth of former joys.

His arms embraced her, pulling her close against him, the strength of his kisses falling upon her like a summer storm, falling upon her again and again like raindrops through the flood of her own tears. He cast aside her dress, laid her down upon the rich green grass that carpeted the garden around them; A private Eden, in which all things worn again became new, and all sorrows that were left behind would turn back to the soil from which only goodness grew.

As they made love, her body and soul became a flower in bloom, petals gently opening to reveal the vibrant colour which had been hidden by all of those who had hurt her, all of those who had made her close herself away from love.

She is awakened by the dawning sun, and the sound of Drayads laughing in the gentle breeze. She rises, her aura renewed by the feeling of golden warmth. In her hand rests a single red rose, a corsage of his compassion to remind her; The bad days may prick and cut, but there will always be colour in the bloom. She is bathed in that colour, and the last of her darkness is swept away. Even if only momentary, she may breathe easier within the shelter of the garden.
