Hidden in the chaos of the midnight fray,
we find each other once again,
lonely lovers reflected by the limelight,
moments of warmth that contrast
the darkness through which we have survived.
Time has left us both in ruins.
Both of us have been changed by it.
Both of us bear the scars of loss and longing.
You have become a gentler man,
even when in those darker states.
