– Death And Beauty –
Death carries with it
by nature such an ugliness.
I am afraid of that ugliness.
I am afraid of the loneliness of death.
Do not bury me in the earth,
where my mortal flesh must decay,
but rather turn me to the fire.
Let it purify my burning heart
as I have lived within it.
Let my ashes scatter across
the wide and never-ending sky,
so that I may eternally walk the horizon
waiting for you to join me there.
