Prose – Sensory Dystonia

– Sensory Dystonia –

Vacillating,
contracting,
expanding,
colliding.

I become dynamic fragments,
light and sound in contrast.
A constant mental flurry,
a volume raised in tonal fury.

There is no method to my madness.
All of my colour has faded
into shades of noisy grey.
There are no distractions here,
no peace of mind where I am truly restful.

And despite the absence
of sound around me,
It will never be silent,
never be still within me again.

Surrounded,
subjected,
relentless,
resilient.
