We have reached that moment when love lit by the hazy and magical glow of gaslight begins to fade, and we are left staring at our reflection in the murky residue left behind. With oil and smoke blackening the lining of the heart, these traces of us are left so unclean.

We have played these games of emotional dominance, and now the words are in my court. Although I feel a liar even more for every truth I tell, it is I who shows the diligence when due. The discourse that you hear is not the sound of these human animals fighting; It is the sound of your own voice, screaming into the echo chamber.
