– Lady in the Looking Glass –

A narrow strip of pale white light
spills through the crack of the open door,
tracing a map across her sleeping face,
her eyes cast in brightness blade
to shield the nightmare shadows.

She has become the woman in the window,
the lady in waiting looking out through her looking glass
to see a picture of the world from the inside out.
