– Walking the Borderline –
I am broken glass;
Diamonds in the rubble.
I am other worlds in pieces,
and looking through the window,
you show me fragments
of what others might have seen.
How sharp is the edge of me?
How deeply will I cut at those I love
as I press onward through their hearts?
There are no walls here,
no ways of cutting corners,
nor skirting edges.
The border here is blurred
for all those who seek
to define its shape,
and the path splits equally
for each of us individually;
Borderline beneath all steps.
