Prose – UltraLight

– UltraLight –

I dive into the glow of ultraviolet light,
feel it splash back upon me like water.
I am swimming in an ocean of rainbows,
moving in patterns of prismatic thought,
each burst divided in my eyes
across the spectrum of colour.

The people of the fray dance freely,
a miasma of carbon mist
clinging to their glimmering skin.
I drift outside of myself
and into the collective mind,
absorb another wave of spectral energy,
catch the eyes of those around me
to see if I am glowing back at them.

If I can complete this evolution
within their perception,
they may yet see the world alight
as I have seen it for them.
As we drift away in tandem,
I refract the feeling,
cast out towards them,
with all light revealing…

…Something more is yet to come.
